Awareness retreats allow time for focused facilitation, inquiry and exploration.
Times of challenge and crisis are wonderful opportunities for change. When we seek peace from our struggles we often reach for something else or avoid the pain or struggle by distractions.
Here at Diamond Awareness Retreat we assist you to open to what you have run from and support you to inquire more deeply into this drama or story that holds the crisis or challenge, but also holds the precious potential for transformation and change. This change simply needs support. All we need is new ways of receiving the present, so that it is experienced as a present!
Stopping, being still, and resting from a struggle or a pain allows you to be supported and nourished. It is an opportunity to receive fresh insights and allow in all that is always here in peace; that is love and clarity. It simply gets covered over by our story. Wisdom is always present but too often we are trying not to know what it is telling us because we want something other than what it offers us, and we are unable to trust what wisdom is telling us. Here you will be supported to know more deeply what you really do know, and be helped to hear more clearly what is required.
The 2 day retreat is a focused inquiry about who we really think we are, so that we discover the truth for our self.
The 2 day retreat gives individual time for you to share and discover what the current crisis or disillusionment is offering you. What is the unhappy state informing you about and pushing you to uncover? What will not give you rest or peace that needs attention?
Here you will be facilitated and supported to find the precious present with in this present pain or crisis or inquiry.
All fruit and vegetables are organic and grown either within our own garden or locally. Only organic chicken is used in cooking and fish is freshly bought from a local source.
The retreats are held in the home of Alison and Geoff in Governors Bay. At the bottom of the garden is the sea which is accessible from the garden.
Retreats are individually organised. Individuals can be nourished by sitting quietly in the garden breathing in the beauty and listening to the waves and the birds or by taking one of the walks in the Bay.
We can provide nourishing food, vegetarian or otherwise. Facilitation sessions will be morning and afternoons for about 2 hours each session.
On the two day retreat in the evening there is an opportunity to rest, walk or watch a DVD full of insights and inspiration. We can arrange everything to suit you.
We work with couples or individuals.
This is a day when you can focus on a particular challenge or problem.
With a helping hand to point you in the right direction, you may gain insight and peace through opening to the feelings, and see what is below feelings that is always present but gets over looked in the current crisis.
With skilled facilitation we can uncover for ourselves what a crisis is begging us to give our attention to, but too often we do not want to hear! We can open to hear more fully with support, in peace.
Facilitating with couples over 2 day or 1 day retreats gives individual time and time together when insights are gained and the strategies of defence are more easily seen.
